HOMEWORK
Homework is work that students are unable to complete during the school day. These
assignments are posted on the agenda, and students will often have the
opportunity and are encouraged to work on homework in class. Most homework is due the next
school day.
Students who complete their work in class should strengthen study habits by reviewing class
notes, practicing spelling vocabulary sorts, and/or reading.
LATE WORK
Late work will be marked as a zero in the grade book until the assignment is turned in. When a late assignment is submitted, it will be evaluated based on each teacher's discretion.
ABSENT WORK
Students are responsible for the material covered when they are absent. The daily class
assignments are posted on the agenda section of our class website. They may look there for
missing work, or upon their return, materials will be available at their request. It is the
student’s responsibility to use these resources to find out what work they have missed.
However, when students are ill and miss class, we expect them to spend their time getting well
and not worrying about missed work. Generally, deadlines will automatically be extended one
day for every day they are absent.
VACATIONS
Assignments will not be prepared prior to vacations. However, necessary assignments and support will be given when the student returns.
