Mae Stecker Information and Permission Slip
The Crissman sixth-grade picnic will take place at Mae Stecker Park on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. We will leave Crissman at 10 a.m. and plan to return at approximately 3:15 p.m. — we will be walking to and from the park.
Our day will be spent outside, so bringing a water bottle, dressing in layers to accommodate Michigan’s weather, wearing hats and sunglasses, and applying sunscreen and insect repellant are all recommended.
During our time at the park, students will have the opportunity to participate in several activities, such as kickball, tennis, basketball, and fishing. If students choose to bring equipment to school, it must meet Crissman’s playground rules; therefore, solid bats, anything with wheels, and electronics are prohibited. Fishing poles are allowed; however, they must be collapsible and all hooks are required to be stored away during the bus ride to and from school.
For lunch, our PTA will provide each student with two slices of pizza, and drinks will be available as well. If your child isn’t participating in the provided lunch or would like additional snacks, they will need to bring a paper bag lunch. Glass bottles and containers are not allowed.
In order to ensure the success of this experience, we need parents from each class to donate select items, help us chaperone the children during activities at the park, and facilitate our lunch. We are asking that parents donate items and volunteer using the following SlyReply link: http://www.slyreply.com/app/sheets/avce3h7ysb46/
All food items on our SlyReply signup must be peanut/tree nut free. Please send in the paper plates, napkins, chips and snacks to your child’s teacher before Wednesday, June 12th.
Thank you for your support,
Sixth Grade
